GTA 6 release date and unlock time in your region

Grand Theft Auto VI launches on Thursday, November 19, 2026, on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Rockstar has had that day circled since November 2025. In August 2026, Take-Two still had it on its release calendar: November 19.

On PS5, we’re past the calendar. There’s a time too.

PlayStation Store unlocks it at midnight local time, one region at a time.

New Zealand goes first. Mexico goes last.

Nineteen hours between the two.

What time GTA 6 unlocks in your region

The regional PlayStation Store listings, compiled by GTAVice.net and Pixel Twelve, put the PS5 unlock at midnight on Thursday, November 19 in each store’s time zone.

The first store opens at 11:00 UTC on Wednesday, November 18. The last one, at 06:00 UTC on Thursday, November 19.

North America

United States and Canada: 05:00 UTC. That’s midnight Eastern on the 19th and 9:00 p.m. Pacific on the 18th.

Mexico and Central America: 06:00 UTC, midnight local time. The last stores in the world.

South America

Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay: 03:00 UTC, midnight local time.

Bolivia: 04:00 UTC, midnight local time.

Colombia, Ecuador and Peru: 05:00 UTC, midnight local time, the same window as the US.

Europe

United Kingdom, Ireland, Portugal and Iceland: midnight UTC.

Spain, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Scandinavia and most of central Europe: 23:00 UTC on the 18th, midnight local time.

Greece, Finland, Romania, Bulgaria, Cyprus and Ukraine: 22:00 UTC on the 18th, midnight local time.

Asia

Japan and South Korea: 15:00 UTC on the 18th, midnight local time.

Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore and Malaysia: 16:00 UTC on the 18th.

Indonesia and Thailand: 17:00 UTC on the 18th.

India: 18:30 UTC on the 18th.

United Arab Emirates: 20:00 UTC on the 18th. Saudi Arabia and Turkey: 21:00 UTC. Israel: 22:00 UTC.

All at midnight local time.

Oceania

New Zealand: 11:00 UTC on the 18th, midnight local time. The first store in the world.

Australia: 13:00 UTC on the 18th, midnight on the east coast.

Africa

South Africa: 22:00 UTC on the 18th, midnight local time.

Rockstar hasn’t published its own unlock table yet. Xbox Series X|S doesn’t have an equivalent official time posted either.

The time may be missing on Xbox. The date isn’t: November 19 on both consoles.

Preload starts November 12

One week early.

Take-Two confirmed that digital pre-orders can start downloading GTA 6 on November 12, 2026.

The 12th: the download starts.

The 19th: the game starts.

The boxed version also goes on sale on the 12th. That makes sense: there’s no disc inside, just a code that still has to start the GTA 6 download.

Open the box. Redeem the code. The game starts downloading.

We know when the download starts.

How much it costs to pre-order GTA 6

Standard: $79.99. Ultimate: $99.99.

Digital pre-orders include one month of GTA+. Pre-orders and purchases made before November 20 also include the Vintage Vice City Pack, according to Take-Two.

The boxed version with a code goes on sale November 12.

From 2025 to November 19, 2026

GTA 6 has already moved its launch window twice.

First trailer, December 2023.

One date on screen:

2025.

On May 2, 2025, Rockstar named a specific day for the first time:

May 26, 2026.

Six months later, it moved the launch again.

On November 6, 2025, the current date arrived:

November 19, 2026.

At the time, Rockstar said the extra months would let it finish the game with the level of polish it was after.

2025. May 26, 2026. November 19, 2026.

That’s the path the date has taken so far.

The date is still November 19

New rumors have made the rounds since the second delay.

The official sources still point to the same day.

Rockstar keeps it on its website. The June pre-order announcement repeats November 19. Take-Two still listed it that way on its August calendar.

In September, another piece fell into place: Rockstar announced that the official GTA 6 album will also come out on November 19, alongside the game.

As of September 27, 2026, the official calendar is still pinned there:

November 19, 2026.

What launches on November 19

That day, GTA 6 arrives on:

PlayStation 5.

Xbox Series X|S.

PC still has no announced version and no date.

PlayStation Store also tags GTA 6 as “PS5 Pro Enhanced,” though Rockstar hasn’t explained what specific improvements that brings.

What isn’t confirmed

Xbox has a day. It doesn’t have a published official unlock time yet.

Rockstar hasn’t published a global table with unlock times by country either. The times in this guide come from the regional PlayStation Store listings, and Sony can still change them before launch.

Download size: no number yet.

PC version: no announcement, no date.

Resolution, frame rate and graphics modes: no final numbers for each console yet.
