Clouds that roll across the map

Rockstar confirms dynamic cloudscapes rolling across Leonida.

Clear skies. Cloudy days. And everything in between.

Localized storms

You’re in a dry spot.

Sun.

In the distance, a storm.

It’s actually pouring over there.

According to Game Informer, storms are localized: it can be raining in one part of Leonida while the sun keeps shining in another.

Puddles that stay

You drive to where it was raining.

The storm has moved on.

The ground still tells you: puddles that stick around and wet surfaces.

And with the right light, after the shower, rainbows.

Tropical storms and hurricanes

Florida gets tropical storms and a hurricane season.

So does Leonida.

Rockstar confirmed they’re in the game.

Game Informer says in its own text what’s missing: it doesn’t know how often these bigger, more violent storms show up or how they affect gameplay and story.
