What these labels mean
- Confirmed
Confirmed means the information comes from its owner: the studio, publisher, manufacturer or platform (Rockstar, Take-Two, Sony, Elgato, YouTube…).
- Unconfirmed
Unconfirmed is everything else: media reports, leaks, estimates, community reconstructions and our own deductions. A rumor remains unconfirmed even when many outlets repeat it.
GTA 6 is the cover story of LOVE Magazine issue 27, a British fashion and culture magazine. The issue went on sale October 5, 2026 for €25, carries new images of Jason and Lucia and interviews with seven people from Rockstar, and sold out within minutes of preorders opening. Beebom
Here’s what’s inside, with a link to the full story on each topic.
What LOVE Magazine #27 is
ConfirmedLOVE is a twice-yearly fashion and culture magazine. The cover of issue 27 is an illustration of Jason and Lucia under the line “America’s Most Wanted,” and inside there’s a shoot with images from the game and a long feature with the team that writes and builds it. The print edition was sold through its distributor, KD Presse, where it ran out of stock on preorder day. Beebom LOVE #27 at KD Presse

Who spoke for Rockstar
ConfirmedThe feature includes Rob Nelson and Aaron Garbut, who run Rockstar North; Rupert Humphries, senior vice president of narrative; Michael Kane, vice president of art; James Horton, writing director; and writers Elizabeth Gauvey-Kern and Alexa D’Agostino. GTAVice
Jason and Lucia, the engine and the brake
ConfirmedHumphries says Rockstar designed the pair to complement each other and pull each other along. Lucia is the one pushing forward: she wants a better life and won’t accept obstacles. Jason reacts more to what happens around him and acts as the brake. Gauvey-Kern describes them as tough, vulnerable and flawed, and their version of the American Dream is modest: a home, a family to support and debts paid off. Beebom
How that relationship works in the game, including romance, living together and what Rockstar said before, is in our guide to Jason and Lucia in GTA 6.
Lucia also produced one of the most shared stories: D’Agostino drew on the women in her life while writing her, above all her mother, who grew up in Newark. We covered it in Lucia’s inspiration.
Raul Bautista, the mentor who knows Vice City
ConfirmedRaul is the older character who guides Jason and Lucia. According to the magazine, he brings what they lack: he knows the city and the criminal world, embodies the Miami of someone who’s been there for years, and makes possible the big heists people expect from a GTA. GTAVice The rest of the cast is in GTA 6 characters.
Politics and satire without copying reality
ConfirmedHumphries explains that Leonida will have election signs, campaign robocalls, ads and radio shows about its own problems, and that Rockstar avoids copying real politicians or events so the satire doesn’t go stale over years of development. The feature sums it up: if the studio puts this much effort into recreating today’s world, its version has to be “more over the top, more insane” than the real one. PC Gamer The details are in politics in GTA 6.
Horton also talks about pedestrians: a Los Angeles team is dedicated to writing their conversations, built to sound right in the background and hold up if you stop to listen. GTAVice What we know about them is in GTA 6 NPCs and AI.
How Leonida was built
ConfirmedGarbut describes research trips through Florida, from Miami to Key West, with cops and gang members, plus a day filming from a helicopter over the Everglades. Nelson explains that the game moves forward in cycles of about eight weeks and that realism gets cut when it makes the game tedious. Dexerto GTAVice It’s all in how Rockstar built Leonida.
The new images
The magazine includes several unseen images of Jason and Lucia: the diner with the pistols, which Notebookcheck compares to the couple who rob the coffee shop in Pulp Fiction; a game of pool; a motorcycle scene; and black-and-white portraits. Notebookcheck GTAVice

What the magazine doesn’t confirm
UnconfirmedLOVE has no new release date, no GTA 6 Online details and no technical info for PS5 or Xbox. The images are a photo shoot styled like the game, and Rockstar hasn’t said whether they come from specific missions or scenes. The Pulp Fiction and Bonnie and Clyde comparisons are the media’s reading.
What we do know about the plot is in the GTA 6 story.
