Cyberleek Claims to Have All of GTA 6 and Threatens to Release It: What's Real

Leaker Cyberleek says he has a GTA 6 build with the full story mode and threatens to release it if his meme coin hits a $30 million market cap, unless Take-Two puts the game on disc and apologizes. Nobody has proven that build exists.

Cyberleek, the leaker who posted 25 minutes of GTA 6 on October 8, published a notice on his website on October 10 titled “the offer,” claiming to have the game with the full story mode, “played to the end, credits and all.” He says he’ll release it if the meme coin tied to his account reaches a $30 million market cap, and that Take-Two can prevent it by putting GTA 6 out on disc and apologizing publicly. Nobody has proven that build exists, and neither Rockstar nor Take-Two has responded. Kotaku

What Cyberleek’s statement says

Unconfirmed

The notice claims a build playable from start to finish and sets out two paths: if his coin reaches a $30 million market cap, he releases it; if Take-Two ships the game on physical disc and apologizes publicly, he doesn’t. The underlying complaint is the one he’s been repeating since August: that GTA 6’s physical edition is a box with a download code. A $30 million market cap measures what the coin is worth in total on the market, which isn’t the same as money the leaker has raised. Kotaku

What’s proven and what isn’t

Having footage from a development build, having that build playable, having it complete to the credits and being able to share an executable that runs on any computer are four different things. Cyberleek’s videos looking authentic supports the first; according to Kotaku, Jason’s nudity in the 25-minute video was apparently obtained through a debug mode, which fits with access to a playable build. No public evidence proves the rest. Kotaku

A fake threat already circulated in August

This isn’t the first time. In August, a screenshot spread in which Cyberleek supposedly threatened to release a full PC build; Insider Gaming, which had reported it, pulled the story and apologized after finding the screenshot was fake. This time the notice is on his own website, according to Kotaku, but there’s still no proof. That same month, Take-Two asked Discord and Microsoft for records to identify whoever is behind it, and the account went quiet after reportedly withdrawing about $250,000 of its coin, which then crashed. Don’t download anything claiming to be GTA 6

If a file shows up claiming to be the full GTA 6, it’s most likely fake, and an executable from an unknown source is the easiest way to get malware. No file having been analyzed doesn’t make one safe. If you want to dodge whatever leaks before launch, the guide to avoiding GTA 6 spoilers tells you which words to block on each platform.

What isn’t confirmed

Who is behind Cyberleek, whether the full build exists, how old it is, what platform it runs on and whether Rockstar or Take-Two will respond. There’s also no proven link to the FBI’s arrest of a ShinyHunters suspect, which is a separate case. What leaked on the 8th is covered in the 25-minute leak.
