32-bit float internal recording
The transmitter can record internally in 32-bit float, which gives plenty of headroom for big level changes and reduces the risk of ruining a take when someone suddenly speaks much louder. Recording well from the start is still better; 32-bit float gives you room to fix it. DJI
Up to 28 hours and four transmitters
DJI advertises up to 28 hours of internal recording, and the system connects up to four transmitters to one receiver, which is useful for interviews, small podcasts and multi-person shoots. It also includes two levels of AI noise reduction and three voice profiles.
A different product from a desktop mic
The Mic Mini 2S plays in a different space from the Logitech Yeti 2 or the Shure MV6 Gen 2: those live on a desk, while the DJI is built to be worn. That makes it more relevant for interviews, outdoor video, shorts, camera shoots and content made straight on a phone. If you shoot on camera for hours, see also how to power a camera for hours.
