KineMaster 8.2 Adds AI Templates That Analyze Media on Your Device

What these labels mean
- Confirmed
Confirmed means the information comes from its owner: the studio, publisher, manufacturer or platform (Rockstar, Take-Two, Sony, Elgato, YouTube…).
- Unconfirmed
Unconfirmed is everything else: media reports, leaks, estimates, community reconstructions and our own deductions. A rumor remains unconfirmed even when many outlets repeat it.
KineMaster 8.2 is now available for iOS, iPadOS and Android. The official update adds AI Templates, multi-layer selection and cross-device continuity.
AI Templates analyze media on the device
AI Templates let you select up to three videos or images stored on the device. KineMaster analyzes that media to suggest compatible templates and says the process runs entirely on the phone or tablet.
According to the company, the selected photos and videos do not leave the device for this analysis.
Multi-layer selection is new
KineMaster 8.2 adds Multi-Select for working with several project layers at once. Selected layers can be moved together on the timeline, repositioned, resized, rotated, duplicated or snapped to the playhead depending on the chosen control.
Handoff and Continue On connect devices
Version 8.2 adds Handoff across compatible Apple devices and Continue On on Android 17 or later with supported hardware. KineMaster presents both as ways to continue a project on another nearby device in the relevant account and ecosystem.
Free KineMaster still has a watermark
KineMaster can be used for free, but its features and subscription documentation says watermark removal is part of KineMaster Premium.
This update therefore does not make KineMaster a completely free no-watermark editor. If that is your requirement, compare our free video editors without a watermark.
Are all AI Templates free?
KineMaster’s announcement confirms AI Templates and on-device analysis, but it does not support a blanket claim that every available template is free or that every compatible device exposes identical functionality.
A specific template still needs to be checked on the relevant device and plan before describing it as free.
