Adobe Premiere on mobile can be used for free. Adobe’s current product page says its core editing functions and exports are free, with unlimited exports up to 4K and no watermark.
What is included for free
Premiere Mobile includes a multitrack timeline, unlimited automatic captions, Enhance Audio and tools aimed at social video. Adobe separates those features from Firefly generative AI, where generative credits can introduce additional cost.
Up to 4K with no watermark
Adobe states that the free version can export an unlimited number of videos at up to 4K without a watermark. That removes a common free-editor restriction at the point where you finish the project.
Export resolution still depends on the source. Turning a 1080p recording into a 4K export does not create missing detail.
Android and iOS availability
Adobe’s product page currently says Premiere Mobile is available on iOS and Android. Adobe’s older iPhone help page still contains a line saying Android was in development, so the documentation is not fully synchronized.
We therefore use the current product page for platform availability and do not automatically extend iPhone-specific account behavior to Android.
iPhone editing can work without signing in
Adobe’s iPhone FAQ says users can edit, save projects locally and export without signing into an Adobe account. Connected assets, generative AI and desktop transfer can require an account.
The Android documentation we reviewed does not make that same promise in the same detail, so this guide does not present it as a universal Android rule.
Multitrack editing, captions and Enhance Audio
Premiere Mobile supports multiple tracks for video, audio and graphics, along with automatic captions and Enhance Audio for voice cleanup. It is a mobile workflow rather than a full copy of desktop Premiere.
Generative AI is where paid credits can enter
Adobe says Firefly-powered generative tools use credits. Core editing and exports can remain free while generated images, clips, stickers or other AI assets sit under a separate credit system.
Desktop Premiere is still separate
The free mobile app does not make desktop Premiere free. PC and Mac subscriptions still apply to the desktop product.
For desktop delivery, see our Premiere export settings for YouTube. If you are still choosing an editor, compare our free video editors without a watermark.
